To reserve and secure your place, a deposit of 50% of the total course price is required. Any bank charges must be covered by the payer. The deposit will be deducted from the total price upon your arrival. The remaining balance must be paid on the first day of classes before the lessons begin. We accept payments by credit card and PayPal (5% surcharge), bank transfer, as well as cash payments in any currency.
If the student does not pay the remaining balance within the established period, the school may temporarily suspend their participation in classes until the balance is paid. The classes that the student misses during the suspension period will be considered as taken and may not be made up.
It is the student’s responsibility to inform themselves and comply with the immigration requirements necessary to enter and remain in Colombia. Centro Catalina is not responsible for the obtaining, extension, or denial of visas, entry permits, or the student’s immigration status.
If the student is a minor, they must present written authorization from their parents or legal guardians in order to participate in the program. Parents or legal guardians assume full responsibility for the safety, conduct, and well-being of the minor during their stay in Colombia, except during the specific time of the scheduled classes. Centro Catalina is not responsible for activities carried out outside academic hours or for the minor’s personal decisions outside the school premises. In the case of minor students, the school may require that accommodation be arranged with a host family (homestay) or another supervised option approved by the school, in order to guarantee their well-being, safety, and support during the stay. This provision applies in accordance with Colombian legislation for the protection of children and adolescents (Law 1098 of 2006 – Childhood and Adolescence Code).
Contracted services that are not used by the student by their own decision, including: accommodation, transfers, activities, or additional services, will not be refundable.
If a student wishes to change accommodation (for example, from homestay to apartment), the following conditions will apply: • A fee of $50 USD will be charged for each cancelled week as compensation for the host family. • The price difference between accommodations is non-refundable, and if the new accommodation has a higher cost, the student must cover the difference. • The change is subject to availability and applies only within the same city. • It is not permitted to change from an apartment or student residence to a stay in a home (homestay). In situations where the student does not feel comfortable or there is a situation that affects their well-being, the school will evaluate the case and may offer alternative accommodation according to the school’s operational and logistical availability. These situations must be communicated as soon as possible to the Administrative and Student Service Customer in order to find an appropriate solution.
